Zavon Hines | U18s Assistant Coach

Zavon Hines is the Academy of Football’s U18s Assistant Coach, providing support to U18s Lead Coach Lauris Coggin.

An Academy graduate and former West Ham United striker himself, Hines played over 200 senior matches for the Hammers, Coventry City, Burnley, AFC Bournemouth, Bradford City, Dagenham & Redbridge, Southend United, Maidstone United, Chesterfield and Bromley.

He was voted Young Hammer of the Year in 2009/10, capped twice by England U21s and appeared in League Two club Bradford’s defeat by Swansea City in the 2013 EFL Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Born in Jamaica and raised in London, Hines returned to West Ham in 2019 as a Youth Development Phase Coach working with the U14s.

He was promoted to his current role as U18s Assistant Coach in the summer of 2024.
