Chris Pipe | Women’s Team Goalkeeping Coach

Chris Pipe was appointed as West Ham United women’s team goalkeeping and set play coach in August 2023.

A UEFA A Licence holder, Pipe attended Brittons Secondary School in Rainham and Havering Sixth Form College before kicking-off his coaching career while still a teenager with Euro Dagenham FC in 2005.

Pipe worked as a community and development coach for Tottenham Hotspur, and as an Academy Foundation goalkeeping coach at Dagenham & Redbridge and Academy goalkeeper coach at Millwall, Watford and Arsenal.

In 2021, he was appointed as Women’s first-team goalkeeping coach at Tottenham, where he worked under manager Rehanne Skinner.

In 2022, he took on the twin roles with The FA as Women's U23 goalkeeping coach & national goalkeeping coach developer, before joining the Hammers and being reunited with Skinner.

Away from the club game, Pipe is a former coach and franchisee and is now director of Premier Education UK, a children’s coaching and physical activity provider dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of youngsters through active learning.

Previously, he also provided training to teachers and sports coaches for the Barking & Dagenham School Sports Partnership, and worked as a counsellor at Pinewood Primary School in Romford.
