As we approach the mid-point in the season, the Supporter Services team have collected together some helpful information that you may find useful when you attend a match at the London Stadium.
Still can’t find what you need? You can always take a look at the Hammers Help page which is full of helpful FAQs or Hammers Hub, which contains everything you need to know about West Ham United matchdays.
What activities are there for my children to do at London Stadium?
There are lots of activities to entertain young fans at London Stadium. If it’s your child’s first West Ham match, head to one of the information points located at Turnstile G, H or D, at Bridge 2 or inside at Block 110, 153, 141, 132 or 125 to pick up a special first-time certificate as well as a Junior Hammers Passport, with special stickers for them to collect at each match.
The club’s mascots Bubbles the Bear and Hammerhead often make appearances around the stadium and are always a popular attraction.
West Ham United’s matchday Supporter Liaison Officers are also on hand to make your day even more special. Be sure to check the official matchday guide ahead of each match to find out what’s happening.
Can I stand up to watch a game?
West Ham United’s ground regulations state that nobody may stand in any seating area whilst play is in progress. Persistent standing in seated areas is forbidden and may result in ejection from the stadium. These regulations apply to both London Stadium and Chigwell Contruction Stadium and exist for the safety and enjoyment of all supporters.
The London Stadium is an all-seater stadium. As part of the match ticket T&Cs, fans agree to remain seated during the match. This is also enforced by London Stadium stewards on matchdays, particularly when areas of persistent standing are identified. There are no current plans to introduce further railed seating in the London Stadium in the 2024/25 or 2025/26 season.
At a recent Fan Advisory Board meeting, Supporter Representatives asked the club to clarify its position on the introduction of railed seating at London Stadium. The club confirmed it continues to monitor guidance relating to safe standing.
The Chigwell Construction Stadium has two standing terraces (the North and East stands) and two seated stands (the South and West stands).
What does the club do about away fans in home areas?
Only supporters of West Ham United are permitted to buy or use tickets in home areas. The club’s ticket T&Cs state that home match tickets are for use of supporters of the club only and that by using a ticket, fans warrant that they are not a supporter of the visiting club. This includes tickets purchased from Season Ticket Holders via the Club tTcket Exchange.
The Club applies a range of proactive steps to mitigate the risk of visiting supporters gaining access to tickets in the home section. This includes monitoring ticket sales patterns for any suspected visiting or non-West Ham United supporters, liaising with the visiting club directly, cancelling ticket purchases, and blocking the accounts to prevent future bookings. The Club also monitors illegal ticketing agency websites and works with counterparts at other clubs and the Premier League to report any incidents of misuse to the authorities.
While the Club has taken all possible actions to mitigate away supporters in home sections, there may be some occasions where this happens.
Where these supporters are identified, they will be ejected from the stadium by stewards in line with the Club’s ground regulations. This can happen at the security checks, at the turnstiles, or while in the stadium.
Where a supporter identifies an away fan in the home stand, there are many ways they can report this. They can:
- Report via the matchday text messaging service on 83121 by sending the word SUPPORT followed by the message. This message will be received by the Supporter Services Team and the supporters’ concern will be radioed to the control room for London Stadium staff to attend. There are posters in and around the stadium, in the Supporter Services information booths and toilets, advertising this number.
- Report via X (formerly Twitter). This channel is constantly monitored prior to and during the match. Any messages posted on X will be received by the Supporter Services Team and the supporters concern will be radioed immediately to the control room for London Stadium staff to attend the area.
- Report to the nearest steward wearing an orange or yellow jacket.
- Go to the nearest information booth to report to a Supporter Liaison Officer. They will be wearing a blue tabard. There are five information booths in the stadium and these can be found at Blocks 110, 153, 141, 132 and 125.

What should I do if I see a medical emergency in the Stadium?
West Ham United and London Stadium take the safety of all fans extremely seriously. At each match, the London Stadium has ten London Ambulance staff and 31 St John’s Ambulance staff on site along with multiple ambulances. There are also three qualified NHS crowd doctors on duty supported by other NHS doctors.
Should a supporter become unwell and require medical assistance, we ask supporters to report this to a steward or member of stadium staff by providing clear, concise information about the situation and location, as they will need to relay this to a supervisor or to the matchday control room.
Stadium staff can be identified by their bib or jacket colours:
- Stewards (orange jackets)
- Security (yellow jackets)
- Supervisors (yellow or white bibs)
- Fire team (red jackets)
