Tomas Jonyla is a left-sided defender who is comfortable playing centrally or at left back. He joined the Academy at U14s and has impressed with his range of passing and tackling.
A Lithuania youth international, Jonyla made his debut for the U18s as an U15.
He made eight appearances in all competitions for Lauris Coggin's West Ham United U18s in the 2024/25 season before signing his scholarship in the summer of 2025.
In his first year as a scholar, he made 26 appearances for the U18s and also featured a further three times as our young Hammers lifted the U17 Premier League Cup. Internationally, he earned seven youth caps for his country scoring an incredible long-range free-kick to beat England and deny them a place in the elite round of UEFA U17 Euro qualifying.
In January 2026, he made his U21s debut in a 2-1 Premier League International Cup defeat to Borussia Dortmund who would go on to win the competition.
