Finley Hooper joined the Hammers at U9s level, signing a full-time scholarship at the Club in summer 2024. Throughout his time with the Academy of Football, Hooper has impressed coaches with his technique, instigating many attacking transitions with his excellent distribution.

In his first year as a scholar, Hooper made 18 appearances in all competitions keeping two clean sheets.

Hooper’s second year saw him sign professional terms with the Club, win his first ten games for the U18s, before earning his first U21s start in February, keeping a clean sheet on debut, a 3-0 Premier League 2 win over Crystal Palace. Promoted to the U21s towards the end of the campaign, he also earned his first international call-up with England U18s in March 2026. The young goalkeeper would make his international bow in the final game of the season, playing 60 minutes in a 6-1 win over Cyprus.
