Jordan Smith joined West Ham United as First-Team Lead Fitness Coach in April 2025.
An experienced fitness coach, Smith graduated from Swansea University with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science in 2016, then completed a Masters by Research in Sports Science in 2019.
Smith joined Swansea City as a First-Team Sports Scientist Intern in 2014, then joined the club as a full-time Academy Sports Scientist in 2016. He was promoted to the role of First-Team Physical Performance Coach in 2017, then again to First-Team Head of Sports Science in 2018.
In November 2019, Smith joined Brighton & Hove Albion as a First-Team Sports Scientist and spent five-and-half years with the Seagulls.
In March 2023, he also began working with the Irish Football Association on a freelance basis, initially as an U17 Sports Scientist, then latterly as Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach with the senior Northern Ireland national team.
He holds a UEFA C Licence and is an accredited member of the United Kingdom Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA).
