
Shekiera Martinez joined West Ham United on 1 July 2024, signing a three-year-contract in east London.
The exciting forward made the switch to England after eight years at Frauen-Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. During her time at the Hesse based Club, Martinez made well over 100 appearances for the team, including playing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
On the international stage, Martinez has been capped at U15, U16, U17, U19 and U23 level for her country, and featured at the Under-17 and Under-19 European Championships.
Martinez joined Frauen-Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg on loan for the first half of the 2024/25 campaign, where accumulated the necessary points to meet the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria for international player visas, before returning to the Club in January 2025.

Spent the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at German side SC Freiburg, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 12 Frauen-Bundesliga matches… Made her West Ham United women’s team debut off the bench against Chelsea in January 2025… Scored her first Hammers goal on her first Barclays Women’s Super League start against Everton in January 2025...Scored a brace away to Chelsea in March 2025, including a second-half stoppage time equaliser, and one of the goals was nominated for the WSL's Goal of the Month award.
