
Shekiera Martinez joined West Ham United on 1 July 2024, signing a three-year-contract in east London.
The exciting forward made the switch to England after eight years at Frauen-Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. During her time at the Hesse based Club, Martinez made well over 100 appearances for the team, including playing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
On the international stage, Martinez has been capped at U15, U16, U17 and U19 level for her country, and featured at the Under-17 and Under-19 European Championships.
Martinez has joined Frauen-Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg on loan for the 2024/25 campaign where she will accumulate the necessary points to meet the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria for international player visas.
Career
Spent the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at German side SC Freiburg, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 12 Frauen-Bundesliga matches… Made her West Ham United women’s team debut off the bench against Chelsea in January 2025… Scored her first Hammers goal on her first Barclays Women’s Super League start against Everton in January 2025.
