Poland international goalkeeper Kinga Szemik joined West Ham United on a three-year contract on 1 July 2024.
Szemik started her senior career with local club Mitech Żywiec, before spending four seasons in the United States playing collegiate football for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros between 2016-19.
On returning to Europe, Szemik spent two seasons each with French clubs FC Nantes and Stade de Reims Féminines. She earned her first senior cap for Poland in a friendly win in Estonia in October 2018, aged 21.
