West Ham United completed the signing of young Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras on a five-year contract in June 2024.
Luis Guilherme is a technically gifted attacking player blessed with searing pace and acceleration, elusive dribbling skills and a superb left foot.
Considered one of the most exciting prospects in South American football, the winger had made 40 senior appearances for Palmeiras, won the Brazilian Série A title, played in the Copa Libertadores and been capped by his country at Under-20 level before his 19th birthday.

Born in the port city of Aracaju, the capital of the state of Sergipe, on Brazil’s east coast...Played for a number of sides as a schoolboy before being recruited by Palmeiras and relocating to São Paulo at the age of eleven in 2017...Played his part in several junior title wins for Palmeiras, including an Under-17 quadruple consisting of the São Paulo state championship, Brazilian championship, Brazilian Cup and Brazilian Super Cup...Made his senior first-team debut for Palmeiras in a 4-2 home win over Tombense in the Brazilian Cup third round in April 2023, aged 17 years and two months...By the end of the 2023 season had made close to 30 appearances in all competitions to help Palmeiras to the Brazilian Serie A title...Lifted the second senior trophy of his career - the São Paulo state championship - in April 2024...Scored his first senior goal - a crucial 95th-minute winner - in Palmeiras’ 3-2 Copa Libertadores group-stage victory away at Independiente del Valle in the Ecuadorean capital, Quito, on 24 April 2024...Help Brazil win the 2022 Montaigu Tournament at U17 level and the South American U20 Championship in 2023.
