Marika Bergman Lundin joined West Ham United on 31 January 2024.

A former Sweden U16 international, the combative central midfielder spent her entire career in her home country prior to moving to east London.

Bergman Lundin regularly challenged for titles and gained experience of playing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League during two seasons with leading Swedish club BK Häcken FF, capturing the attention of the Hammers.

Joined West Ham United on the final day of the January 2024 transfer window…Made her West Ham United debut as a substitute in a 2-1 Women’s Super League home win over Arsenal on 4 February 2024…Totalled eight Women’s Super League appearances, all of them as a substitute.

Born in the small town of Landvetter near Gothenburg in south western Sweden on 12 July 1999…Started her career with local club Landvetters IF as a schoolgirl…Remained with the club after it changed names to Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC…Made her Swedish top-tier Damallsvenskan debut for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC in a 5-2 home win over Umeå on 8 May 2016, aged 16…Capped twice by Sweden U16s in October 2016…Totalled 12 appearances for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC across two seasons before joining second-tier Elitettan Jitex BK for the 2018 season…Moved to IK Uppsala for the 2019 season and helped the club win promotion from the Elitettan to the Damallsvenskan in her first season…Remained with IK Uppsala as they were relegated in 2020, and again for the 2021 season in the Elitettan and had totalled 83 appearances and 12 goals by the time she departed…Joined Damallsvenskan club BK Häcken FF – the new name for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC – and returned home to Gothenburg for the 2022 season…Appeared in all 52  Damallsvenskan matches over the 2022 and 2023 seasons as BK Häcken FF twice finished as runners-up…Finished as a losing finalist in the Svenska Cupen final in 2022 and 2023…Appeared in all ten UEFA Women’s Champions League ties contested by BK Häcken FF in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons…Scored in a 2-1 UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round defeat at Paris St-Germain in September 2022…Totalled 73 appearances and 13 goals for BK Häcken FF.
