
Comfortable at left-back and left wing-back, Emeka Adiele is a quick, dynamic player who again shows his versatility by performing both in defence and attacking positions.
Scholarship terms were penned ahead of the 2023/24 season for a player who contributed heavily with his assists and goals in 2022/23 for the U16s. His first professional contract would follow on his seventeenth birthday ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Adiele made his Premier League 2 debut in a 2-0 win over Norwich City in April 2024. Transitioning to the U21s set up at Rush Green Training Ground in his second year as a scholar, Adiele opened his account for the 2024/25 season with a goal on the opening day as the U21s ran out 2-0 winners at Brighton & Hove Albion. Mark Robson's kicsktarted the season with five consecutive league wins, the last of which was a 3-2 victory over Chelsea where Adiele scored a first-half brace.
Adiele also has international experience having represented England's Young Lions at U17s and U18s level.
