West Ham United U18s have been drawn to face Norwich City U18s in the fourth round proper of this season’s FA Youth Cup.
The young Hammers earned their first berth at this stage of the competition in eight years by defeating Luton Town U18s at Kenilworth Road earlier this month, winning 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw after extra-time.
With a number of second- and third-round ties still to be completed, the draw – which took place on Friday morning – set up West Ham U18s with an away game at either Wolverhampton Wanderers or Norwich.
The Canaries defeated Wolves 4-2 away at St James’ Park on Friday evening, and are now set to play host to Kevin Keen’s youth team at Carrow Road in the new year.
Details for the fixture are to be confirmed, but in line with the Youth Cup schedule, the match must be completed by Saturday 30 January 2021.
West Ham have won the FA Youth Cup on three occasions previously – 1963, 1981 and 1999 – while also finishing as runners-up in four further seasons.
Manchester City are this season’s defending champions.
