West Ham United youngster Harrison Ashby enjoyed a winning debut with Scotland U21 on Friday evening, helping his side record a 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic in Edinburgh.
The Hammers full-back played 84 minutes of Scotland's win, which keeps them right in the hunt for qualification for the 2021 UEFA U21 Championships.
Goals in either half from Reims striker Fraser Hornby and Aberdeen defender Ross McCrorie were enough to see off the Czechs and bring Scotland to within a point of the Group 4 leaders.
With qualification fixtures against San Marino, Croatia and Greece to come, and with a game in hand over the Czech Republic, Scotland are well-placed for a shot at qualifying for their first finals tournament since 1996.
Ashby made his Hammers first team debut earlier this season, featuring in the Carabao Cup victories against Charlton Athletic and Hull City.
