Vera Pauw's side did just about enough on the night in a contest that was largely devoid of major action or drama at either end, with Denise O'Sullivan's 38th minute effort enough to separate the two teams.
Ziu was involved in that crucial goal, intercepting the ball in midfield before laying the ball off to O’Sullivan. The eventual goalscorer then swept a ball out to Heather Payne, who pulled a cross back for O’Sullivan to dig out a curling effort that perched itself into the bottom corner.
They now await Friday's World Cup playoff draw to see who they will face in their second-round playoff tie.

Goals from Grace Geyoro, Melvine Malard, Sandy Baltimore and a brace from Kadidiatou Diani secured the win for France, who finished ten points clear of second placed Wales in Group I.
Away from European competitive action, Mackenzie Arnold was an unused substitute as Australia were beaten 2-1 by Canada at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
