How hard is it to handle the pressure of playing for West Ham? Samuel

“It's very hard because the expectation is very high, and we have to deal with it, especially when we play at home. It's sometimes tough because obviously fans want us to win, but if the game is not going in the best way, we feel it [the pressure]. We need them [the fans], so I hope that even if results are not going in the best way, the fans will support us even more, and we will give them back great results.”

What are the top three attractions you’d recommend to visitors to London? Robert Singleton

“I would say Warner Bros Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter. I also like the area of Greenwich and watching musicals. I saw Frozen the Musical last time with my daughter, but I’ve watched a few, and the musicals are very good.”

We all know you love potato salad, but is there a new food or meal that you’ve started to enjoy since you’ve been living in London? John Bull

“I'm not a big fan of food in London, so I would recommend something like Wagamama.”

How did you first get into football? Maisie

“My Dad was the coach [at my first club FC Slovan Havlíčkův Brod], and he brought me into the team when I was five to play with the kids. He was the coach at my local team, and I played under him until I was ten.”

What made you think of your celebration? Eoghan McHugh

“There is a lot of deep thinking behind it, and I will reveal the reason in maybe one year, but it’s about wanting to enjoy football as much as possible.”

What’s your favourite West Ham chant? Charlie Jackson

“The West Ham United anthem, which is ‘Bubbles’, obviously. It’s perfect before the game, and I sing it walking out of the tunnel.”

Would you rather score the winning goal in an FA Cup final, or have a lifetime supply of potato salad? Conor

“The winning goal in an FA Cup final for sure!”

What’s your favourite goal you’ve scored for West Ham so far? Lucy Todd

“My favourite goal for West Ham is away at Everton [in March 2024], not the game when potato salad became famous on New Year’s Day 2021. It was the 3-1 win last season, and I scored our second goal after 91 minutes, took my shirt off, and celebrated with the fans.”

Who is your best friend in football? Stanley Moss

“I have a few, but here at West Ham I would say Vlad [Vladimír Coufal] and Łukasz Fabiański. In the Czech Republic squad, I have many of them.”

Do the numbers you wear for Club and country, 28 and 22 respectively, mean something special to you? Will Carson

“Honestly, no. When I arrived at West Ham for the first time, they gave me this number because it was spare, but I am the person who, when I start with that number, I want to carry on with it, so I trust that number now. I really like that I got it because it was spare, and now I don't want to change it.”
