What is your favourite thing about playing in the Premier League? Josh Scott
“I would say the intensity. In every game you have to be ready to provide the same level of intensity. I also really enjoy the quality because you know that every game is going to be a tough game no matter who you are playing against.”
What is your favourite thing about east London? Jamie Smith
“The West Ham fans. They’re very proud, passionate, and always support the team. Whether we are playing at home or away, they always turn out in big numbers.”
What is the greatest individual goal you’ve ever seen? Darren Lacey
“I will say my goal against SC Freiburg last season - this goal will be with me for a long time! There are very, very few players who can do that, so it was a very special moment.”
What was your favourite hairstyle you had last season? Dylan Scott
“I think when I went with my short hair. I looked a bit younger, so I will say that one!”
Who has had the biggest influence on your career so far? Ronnie
“I would say my family because they support me regardless of whether I’m scoring or not or playing well or not.”
What is the story behind your celebration? Piotr Kozlowski
“It was just something that came into my mind, sitting down to take a deep breath. There have been a lot of conversations about who the celebration is for!”
When you have a big match coming up, what is your go to pre-match routine? Freddie Harvey Tait
“We have a team schedule that we follow, but I have to pray before every game, and I always get the time to do that. I always get a quiet space in our stadium, and whenever we go to an away stadium, they always find a space for me. It’s important as it’s something I hold in high regard.”
If you could be an athlete in any other sport, what would it be and why? Lucas Virk
“I will say boxing, because I like Anthony Joshua. He wins some and he loses some fights, like recently, but he still provides the same energy and positive attitude.”
When did you realise how good you were at football and that you were going to make it as a professional? Archie Pointer
“I wouldn’t say I knew I was going to make it straight away, but I knew I was good after I joined my local club, Strong Tower FC, in my home city in Ghana. I was just playing in my school and local park before that, but I began to take it a bit more seriously when I joined them.”
Are you the fastest player in the squad? Jensen Firmin
“I think you need to ask the fitness coaches! I think Jazz [Jarrod Bowen] is fast, Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] is fast, and also Mick [Michail Antonio] is fast for his age. I think I’m up there, for sure!”
Who is the best defender you have played against? Cruz
“I will say [Virgil] van Dijk, because he is big, strong, fast and hard to get past.”
