Four West Ham United women's team players out on loan were in action over the weekend...
Macey Nicholls played the full 90 minutes for Hashtag United as they beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 at Parkside on Sunday.
Malika Apindia opened the scoring after nine minutes on the clock in Aveley, whilst Nicholls herself went close with a half-volley that sailed narrowly over the crossbar.
The Tags dominated the play in the first 45 minutes and made sure to add a second after the restart, with Sammy Rowland stabbing the ball home inside two minutes of second half action.
Next up for Hashtag and Nicholls is an FA Women’s National League Cup second round clash with Rugby Borough on Sunday 29 October.
Elsewhere, Katelin Talbert helped Djurgårdens IF to their third consecutive point in Damallsvenskan on Saturday, as they drew 1-1 against KIF Örebro DFF.
The Stockholm-based outfit came into the fixture sitting in ninth place, whilst Örebro were two places and three points behind them in the standings.
Beata Kollmats opened the scoring for Djurgårdens on 55 minutes, but Inka Sarjanoja would level with just over 10 minutes of normal time remaining to share the points at Behrn Arena.
After the international break, Talbert and her teammates head to Visma Arena to face Växjö DFF, who are one place below them in the standings.
Halle Houssein and Reading were on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The midfielder featured for 60 minutes in the defeat, as individual errors cost Liam Gilbert’s side dearly.
Those first of those came from captain Lily Woodham, who would allow Ashley Hodson to steal in and score before Easther Mayi Kith could race back and cover.
Three minutes after the start of the second half and Reading were two down, Mayi Kith appeared to lose her footing and was robbed by Isobel Goodwin who strode away and finished coolly past Reading goalkeeper Emily Orman.
The final blow was delivered on 72 minutes, as Blades defender Charlotte Newsham was able to tap in a third, putting the game well beyond doubt. Deep into second half injury time, the Royals grabbed a goal, with Tia Primmer tapping the ball home after Sanne Troelsgaard's effort was parried into her path.
Reading and Houssein will be hoping for a better result when they return to action after the international break. They face Birmingham City on Sunday 5 November in their next Barclays Women’s Championship fixture.
Soraya Walsh came off the bench to feature in a 15-minute cameo for Billericay Town, as they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Cheltenham Town at New Lodge on Sunday.
Town hadn’t played since a narrow 2-1 defeat to Hashtag United on 11 October, and they slipped to defeat again this time around. Daisy Ackerman would feed Wales U19 international Phoebie Poole in behind to slot in the only goal of the match on 56 minutes.
Katie O’Hanlon did not feature in the matchday squad.
