Women's Loan Watch | Doe and Ipswich close in on promotion as Belloumou assists in Malmö win

Four West Ham United women’s team loanees were in action for their respective temporary clubs at the weekend...

Ruby Doe and Ipswich Town are all-but promoted to the Barclays Women’s Championship courtesy of an 11-0 thrashing of hosting MK Dons on Sunday.

The rout against the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division basement side moves the Tractor Girls three points clear of second-placed Hashtag United with only one game of the campaign remaining. The Blues also have a 36 better goal difference, meaning bar an unlikely swing on the final day, they will be playing second division football next season.

The 19-year-old Hammers loanee started and played 57 minutes of the contest at Stadium MK, but was taken off with her team five goals to the good. Sophie Peskett was the star of the show for Joe Sheehan’s team, who bagged six goals on Sunday afternoon.

As much as it looks like Ellie Moore and Hashtag United won’t be celebrating promotion this term, they were celebrating on Thursday night as they clinched the BBC Essex Women’s Cup courtesy of a resounding 8-0 victory over Billericay Town at Colchester United’s Jobserve Community Stadium.

Moore was a second-half substitute in the tie, replacing Jade Keogh in the 76th minute with the Tags seven ahead before Eloise King netted the final goal of the evening in the dying stages of the showpiece.

The West Ham loanee was not involved in Hashtag’s comfortable 2-0 win at home to Exeter City on Sunday, which saw goals from Frankie Finlayson and Florence Donnelly secure the three points.

Elsewhere, Inès Belloumou played all 90 minutes and helped Malmö FF to a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Kristianstad, providing an assist for what proved to be the winning goal.

The left-back was on hand to tee up Sara Fornesin eight minutes before half-time, as the home side held on to secure their second victory from the opening three matches of the Allsvenskan Women season.

There was also success at the weekend for Halle Houssein and Beylerbeyi, who put five unanswered goals past Bornova on Sunday.

The win sees Beylerbeyi remain seventh in the Super Lig Women standings, but eleven points clear of eighth-placed Fatih Vatan Spor.
