Shannon Cooke’s loan spell at Birmingham City continues to go from strength to strength as she kept her third successive clean sheet on Sunday.
The defender, who is yet to concede a goal in Birmingham colours, played another 90 minutes for the Blues, who scored two unanswered first-half goals at Blackburn Rovers to maintain their spot at the summit of the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Lucy Quinn was the star of the show as she bagged a 14-minute brace to secure the three points, scoring twice from close range.
Birmingham have a three-point buffer over second-placed London City Lionesses, who have a game in hand.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Hammers duo Jessie Stapleton and Keira Flannery both played 90 minutes for Sunderland as they claimed the bragging rights over neighbours Durham with a 2-0 win at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
Libbi McInnes opened the scoring on the half-hour mark and Amy Goddard notched a second two minutes after the restart, stabbing Stapleton’s header goalbound from inside the six-yard box.
Despite the three points, the Lasses still sit sixth in the eleven-team standings.

Elsewhere, there was a top-of-the-table clash in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division as leaders Hashtag United entertained second-placed Ipswich Town.
