West Ham United’s Women’s League Cup group stage fixtures have been confirmed.
The Hammers are one of 20 teams entering the competition who were drawn into five groups of four by former England international Lianne Sanderson in August.
The Hammers were drawn in Group C alongside three Women's Championship clubs in London City Lionesses, Portsmouth and Southampton, and have now learned when and where their three ties will be played.
Rehanne Skinner and her squad will welcome Portsmouth to Chigwell Construction Stadium for their first match on Wednesday 2 October at 7pm, with Southampton hosting London City the following evening.
Round two will see West Ham cross the River Thames to take on London City Lionesses at Bromley FC’s Hayes Lane stadium on Sunday 24 November at 2pm. Portsmouth welcome Southampton for a derby on the same afternoon.
The third round of group-stage fixtures will see the Hammers host Southampton on Wednesday 11 December at 7pm, with Portsmouth hosting London City on the same evening.
West Ham could also face Arsenal in Group C should the Gunners be eliminated from the UEFA Women’s Champions League in the qualifiers, which will be played at the start of September. Should they be knocked out, the Gunners will be drawn in either Group C, D or E, and that game be played on Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17 October.
Chelsea, who have already qualified for the Women’s Champions League group stage, will enter the competition at the quarter-final stage.
Following the completion of the group stage, the quarter-finals will take place on 22-23 January 2025, with the semi-finals following on 5-6 February and the final scheduled for mid-March.
