Continental Cup Group E

Women's Conti Cup Group Stage fixture details confirmed

Details of West Ham United Women’s three Continental Tyres League Cup group stage fixtures have been confirmed.

The Hammers were drawn into Group E alongside fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion and Barclays Women’s Championship outfits Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic earlier this month.

It has now been confirmed that Rehanne Skinner’s team will welcome The Addicks to Chigwell Construction Stadium in their opening group fixture on Wednesday 11 October, with kick off scheduled for 7:30pm BST in Dagenham.

On Wednesday 22 November, the Irons will travel to Broadfield Stadium to take on Melissa Phillips’ Seagulls in their second group stage fixture, which will kick off at 7pm GMT.

Finally, the team will head north to St Andrew’s to face Birmingham City on Wednesday 24 January, with the match getting underway at 7pm GMT.

Ticket information for these fixtures will be announced in due course.

Continental Tyres League Cup

The Hammers faced both Brighton and Birmingham in the group phase of last year’s competition, picking up four points en route to topping the table and eventually reaching the semi-finals.

Charlton last went head to head with the Irons in the 2020/21 campaign, when the east Londoners got the better of their south London rivals by a 4-0 scoreline.

Chelsea receive a bye to the competition’s quarter-finals by virtue of their qualification to the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.

Emma Hayes’ Blues will be joined by the five group winners and the best performing runners-up - the number of which is to be determined based on Arsenal’s and Manchester United’s progression in the Champions League and subsequent involvement in the Conti Cup.
