West Ham United take centre stage in special episode of TNT Sports show Sign Up - Into Football

West Ham United Sporting Director Mark Noble, midfield star James Ward Prowse and Academy Manager Kenny Brown have all featured in a special episode of TNT Sports new sign language series Sign Up - Into Football.

Sign Up - Into Football is aimed at raising the profile of the deaf community, elevating the visibility of British Sign Language (BSL) and leading the way in making sports programming accessible for all.

The show is fronted by deaf British Sign Language presenters Damaris Cooke and Rolf Choutan and is aired on the first Friday of every month, before being shown on TNT Sports channels across the month.

The West Ham special sees Mark Noble sit down at Chadwell Heath’s iconic “Academy of Football” to discuss his life and role at the Club, where he explains the legendary journey which earned him the nickname "Mr West Ham".

As one of the world’s best set-piece specialist, James Ward Prowse then gives a freekick masterclass to Damaris and Rolf, showing the skill and dedication required to achieve success.

Academy Manager Kenny Brown then explains what is required to unearth elite talent as discusses how the world-renowned facility at Chadwell Heath has helped discover the likes of Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Declan Rice and Divin Mubama.

He also discusses the recent success of the Club, with the West Ham Under-18s winning their first FA Youth Cup since 1999 in April with an impressive 5-1 win over Arsenal.

The West Ham special will first aired on TNT Sports 1 on 1 December at 5:45pm, before being repeated across the month.

Disabled Supporters Board Co-Chair Cathy Bayford & the Board’s Deaf Representative Keighley Miles said: “We were delighted to be able to watch from behind the cameras to see this piece being recorded at Rush Green.

“The DSA are keen to promote inclusivity across all disabilities when it comes to watching our team play football and we are working with the Club, who are already making positive progress in sourcing an onscreen BSL interpreter provision on match days.”
