West Ham United shortlisted for hat-trick of awards

West Ham United has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of prestigious awards. for The Club has been nominated for two FEVO Sports Industry Awards for Hospitality & Experience and Fan Engagement, and one Football Business Award for the Best Club Marketing Campaign, recognising the Hammers’ commitment to our loyal supporters, professional excellence and creativity.

The FEVO Sports Industry Awards celebrate the immense work done in British sport, from delivering to world-leading events, or using sport as a platform to drive social change, or creative campaigns that enthuse and excite.

The first of West Ham’s two nominations is for the Hospitality & Experience Award, recognising the Club’s outstanding matchday offerings within Club London. These mix our iconic London location with world-class Premier League football to deliver industry leading experiences, including helicopter tours over the capital to our historic training ground, and River Thames cruises and London Eye rides hosted by Club legends, all climaxing with an unforgettable matchday at our London Stadium home.

The second nomination is for the Fan Engagement Award, recognising West Ham’s successful focus on ensuring e the voice of young supporters is represented in Club decision making. We are one of only two Premier League clubs with a young supporter on our Fan Advisory Board, while the Club meets formally with 12 young supporters as part of the Junior Supporters Board and initiatives suggested by and for young supporters allow us to directly speak with over 7,500 young supporters every matchday.

The Football Business Awards have shortlisted us for the Best Marketing Campaign – Premier League award for our ‘Wear the Greatness’ 2024/25 Home Kit launch.

‘Wear the Greatness’ was inspired by our 1960s golden era, during which we won the FA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup, played inspirational football and provided three members of England’s FIFA World Cup-winning team, captain Bobby Moore and goalscorers Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.

With 2024/25 marking the 60th anniversary of our Cup Winners’ Cup triumph, the cinematic launch film was shot in E.Pellicci – the best-preserved old school café in east London – and featured members of the current men’s, women’s and Academy teams alongside 1965 Cup Winners’ Cup-winning legend Brian Dear and Moore’s daughter Roberta, West Ham-supporting actors Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Tony Way and Harry Collett, with a soundtrack provided by Hammers-mad band The Rifles.

The FEVO Sport Industry Awards will take place at Evolution London in Battersea Park on Thursday 15 May, while the Football Business Awards will be held on Friday 9 May at The Brewery in the City of London.
