Manuel Lanzini will depart London Stadium when his contract expires on 30 June.
The Argentine midfielder joined the Hammers, initially on loan, from United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira in summer 2015, making the move permanent the following year.
Over his eight seasons in Claret and Blue, Lanzini made 226 appearances in all competitions and scored 32 goals – twice winning the Club’s Goal of the Season award, for his unforgettable last-gasp strike at Tottenham Hotspur in 2020/21 and then a superb volleyed finish at Crystal Palace the following campaign.
Hammer of the Year runner-up in 2016/17, Lanzini featured on eleven occasions in our glorious UEFA Europa Conference League run this season and scored in our home and away victories over Danish side Silkeborg IF.
A firm favourite among Hammers fans and his team-mates alike, Lanzini marked his final home game for the Club with a goal to round off a 3-1 win over Leeds United at London Stadium last month, and leaves having earned himself a place inside West Ham United’s top 70 all-time appearance makers.
Angelo Ogbonna has been offered a new contract to extend his eight-year stay in east London after he recovered from major knee surgery to make 30 appearances in the 2022/23 season.
Development squad players Ademipo Odubeko, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Brian Kinnear, along with scholar Asher Falase, will be departing the Club this summer. Defender Jamal Baptiste, 19, is also set to leave the Club on 30 June despite being offered a new contract.
Odubeko was a summer 2019 arrival at the Academy from Manchester United and the striker made two appearances in the first team, both in the Emirates FA Cup during the 2020/21 campaign. He played 28 games across our Academy sides, finding the net 28 times. He also enjoyed loan spells with Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and Port Vale.
21-year-old forward Oko-Flex joined the Club from Celtic in 2021 and made one first team appearance, in our UEFA Europa Conference League Play-Off round victory at Viborg FF. He featured on 35 occasions for our U21 side and scored 14 goals, also spending time on loan with EFL Championship side Swansea City this term.
Scotland U21 goalkeeper Brian Kinnear was another summer 2021 arrival at the Academy and he made five appearances for our U21 side, spending the latter part of the 2022/23 season on loan with Scottish side Falkirk, who reached the semi-finals of the Scottish FA Cup and the Scottish League One play-offs.
18-year-old full-back Falase joined the Academy at nine years of age and leaves having featured on 49 occasions for our U18s. He made four appearances on our run to lifting the FA Youth Cup last season.
Meanhwhile, scholars Ryan Battrum, Billy Bates, Sean Tarima and Mason Terry have all signed their first professional contracts with the Club.
West Ham United would like to thank all those players departing for their hard work and commitment during their careers in Claret and Blue and wish them the very best in the future.
