The Perth International Football Cup

West Ham United are heading back to Australia!

West Ham United is thrilled to announce that the women’s team will visit Australia for the first time to participate in the Perth International Football Cup this summer.

Following an immensely successful men’s tour last July, the women’s team will head Down Under to play two exciting fixtures as part of the inaugural Perth International Football Cup, which will feature two other English Women's Super League clubs in Manchester City and Leicester City and French Division 1 Féminine side Paris Saint-Germain.

The Irons will take on PSG, who finished as runners-up in their domestic league last season, at HBF Park on Thursday 29 August. The winners will take on either Manchester City or Leicester City in the final, also at HBF Park, on Sunday 1 September, with the two losers meeting at the same venue in a third-place play-off.

Tickets are available now for Hammers fans here!

With interest in women’s football growing rapidly in Australia, West Ham is excited to be returning to the capital of Western Australia to perform in front of the many thousands of supporters who would otherwise only be able to follow West Ham from afar.

With Katrina Gorry, Mackenzie Arnold, Tameka Yallop and Emily van Egmond having all represented the Hammers and the Matildas at senior level, there are strong links between Australia and east London.

West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner saw all four in action on home turf at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals, as Australia reached the semi-finals, and is relishing the opportunity to take her squad to a nation which has a real passion for women's sport.

“We’re really excited to be heading to Australia,” said Skinner. “I was lucky enough to spend some time in Australia during the FIFA Women’s World Cup last summer. I saw first-hand how the success of the Matildas is changing the landscape of the women’s game out there, making it one of the fastest growing sports in the country.

“We are immensely proud to be part of the first-ever Perth International Football Cup - to have the opportunity to play in front of our West Ham fans in Perth will be an incredible experience for everyone involved.”
