West Ham United will travel to French Ligue 1 side Rennes for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 29 July.
David Moyes takes his UEFA Europa Conference League winners to north-western France as the Hammers tune up for the 2023/24 campaign.
Rennes finished fourth in the French top flight last season, earning them – like the Irons – a spot in the UEFA Europa League next term.
The match at Rennes’s Roazhon Park stadium will kick-off at 6pm CEST (5pm BST), with ticketing details to be confirmed in due course.
West Ham have never met the team from Brittany before, but defender Nayef Aguerd will be returning to familiar ground, having made 79 appearances for Les Rouges et Noirs during a two-year spell prior to heading to east London last summer.
Under head coach Bruno Génésio, Rennes beat Lille OSC to Ligue 1’s Europa League spot, winning their last four league matches to overhaul them on the final day of the campaign.
The trip to France follows the Hammers’ pre-season tour to Australia, where they will face Perth Glory and Tottenham Hotspur on 15 and 18 July respectively. Click here for ticketing information on our matches in Perth..
