A Premier League victory over London rivals Fulham brought plenty of cheer to the Boleyn Ground, as two incredible goals from Anton Ferdinand and Yossi Benayoun gave West Ham United a 2-1 victory in January 2006.
Anton Ferdinand opened the scoring for the Hammers with a once in a lifetime strike, a tremendous volley from the edge of the box that flew into the top-left corner.
Things got even better just eleven minutes later, when another fine effort put Alan Pardew's newly-promoted Irons further in the ascendancy.
Yossi Benayoun received the ball on the edge of the box, twisted and turned to the right-hand side of the area and launched an audacious chip over Antti Niemi in-between the sticks, which came off to stunning effect.
The Finnish 'keeper was left rooted as the ball delicately flew over him and ultimately put West Ham clear on the day.
Fulham made West Ham work for their victory in the second half, as Heidar Helguson registered a goal back for the away side.
But the Hammers had too much for their London counterparts and managed to see out the game with all three points intact.
