Viviane Asseyi, Anouk Denton and West Ham United women’s team have all been shortlisted for prizes at the 2025 Women’s Football Awards!
Now in its third year, the Women's Football Awards is one of the biggest celebrations of women’s football, and the event honours standout players, businesses, brands and grassroots initiatives driving the game forward.
France international Asseyi - who is the Hammers' top scorer this season with ten goals in 22 appearances across all competitions - has been nominated in the Player of the Year category, while 21-year-old Denton is in the running for the Young Player of the Year gong, having impressed for both West Ham and England's U23s over the last 12 months.
Finally, West Ham United women's team have been shortlisted for the Best Club of the Year award, with Rehanne Skinner's side securing Barclays Women's Super League safety last term before impressing in a 2024/25 campaign that has seen them topple the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, and most recently secure an impressive 2-2 draw with seven-time WSL champions Chelsea.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 1 May and will be hosted by BBC broadcaster Gabby Logan, former Chelsea, Juventus and England player Eni Aluko, and former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher.
