Vitality Women's FA Cup Quarter Final Draw - All You Need To Know

The Hammers reached the final of the competition in their first professional season back in 2018/19, losing to Manchester City at Wembley.

And this is the first time that the team have reached this stage of the competition since that run to the final!

Here's everything you need to know about the draw.

When is the quarter-final draw?

The draw takes place on Tuesday 1 March, at 9.15 BST. Supporters in the UK can watch live on BBC One’s Morning Live show. If you are unable to tune in, then we will have news of the draw on whufc.com, our official app and socials channels as soon as it is made.

The story so far?

The Hammers have certainly had to overcome two tricky challenges on their way to booking their place in the draw for the quarter-finals. Alongside the other teams in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, West Ham United entered the competition at the fourth round stage – being drawn against FA Championship side, Sheffield United. A brace from Claudia Walker and goals from Mel Filis and Brynjarsdottir secured a 4-1 win at Bramall Lane.

Olli Harder’s side were then drawn against Reading in the fifth round – a side who had only lost one of their last ten matches in all competitions in the build-up to the game. But the Irons weathered a first-half storm from the Royals to hit back through Brynjarsdottir, who’s fierce effort landed in the roof of the net at the end of first half injury time! Watch highlights from Sunday’s win below.

Coventry United of the FA Championship beat West Bromwich Albion in the fifth round, whilst the lowest ranked side in the competition, Ipswich Town saw off fellow National League South side Southampton on penalties.
