An update from your Claret Member representative

Are you a Claret Member? If you’re new to the Club’s membership scheme, you may not be aware that you have a representative on the West Ham United Fan Advisory Board.

The Fan Advisory Board (FAB) is West Ham United’s primary mechanism for formal consultation and engagement, with representatives sharing their views on issues which impact the Club’s fanbase.

In January, the Claret Member and Junior Supporters Board representatives from the FAB, James and Austin, met with the Club to discuss next season’s Claret Membership offering. The discussion included:

  1. Matchday-Focused Gifts: Representatives highlighted the popularity of items that can be used on matchdays, such as snoods and hats, as well as gifts celebrating the Club’s rich heritage. The gifts provided following the UEFA Europa Conference League triumph were particularly well received. Representatives emphasised that the quality of gifts was important, and that they have to be easy and safe to use.

  2. Tailored Junior Memberships: For Junior Memberships, particularly the Ironborn Membership, representatives stressed the need for age-appropriate items that cater to a broad age range of children, ensuring inclusivity and appeal across different age groups.

  3. Timely Delivery: The Club’s commitment to delivering membership packs earlier in the season was raised and welcomed by supporter representatives.

  4. Engaging Digital Content: Representatives encouraged the Club to explore digital engagement opportunities catered exclusively to members, such as content, competitions, and chances for supporters to interact with players or win signed memorabilia.

  5. ESG: The packaging was discussed, including the importance of ensuring it can be disposed of in an eco-friendly way.

  6. Survey for Wider Feedback: To ensure the voices of all supporters are heard, representatives suggested the Club conduct a survey to gather additional feedback. The Club will invite all members to complete a survey focused on the above themes.

If you are a Claret Member, you will be sent a survey via email to share your views.

If you have any other questions or feedback, you can contact the Club via Hammers Help, or if you wish to share any feedback with James as the Claret Member representative, you can now contact him via [email protected].
