U19s train in India ahead of opening Premier League Next Gen fixture

West Ham United U19s trained for the first time ahead of the 2023 Premier League Next Generation Cup on Tuesday evening.

Having landed at Mumbai Airport early on Tuesday morning, the Irons travelled to Sports Association Park training centre in Navi Mumbai, which is the base for all of the Premier League teams in the competition.

After an arduous day of traveling, the Young Hammers, led by Lead Phase Coach Lauris Coggin were put through a light session as they slowly adapt to the hot and humid conditions ahead of their first Group A game on Wednesday afternoon, which will see them face off against Indian Super League (ISL) side ATK Mohun Bagan.

The Irons will play three group stage fixtures, with their two other games coming against Bengaluru FC, also of the ISL, as well as South African side Stellenbosch.
