The West Ham United squad flexed their muscles in a Strength and Conditioning session in the Florida heat on Tuesday.
The Irons took to the pitches at the Tampa Bay Rowdies training facility, where Head Coach Julen Lopetegui and his backroom staff gave the players a structured series of exercises and drills to do across a 90-minute programme.
Alongside strength training and flexibility and mobility exercises, the Irons did some speed and agility work, all with the aim of improving their physical attributes ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season, which kicks-off on Saturday 17 August.
Strength and conditioning work helps players to improve their abiity to change direction quickly and efficiently, sustain high-intensity effort and perform at a higher level for longer in matches.
West Ham will be in the United States for the next few days, concluding the fortnight-long Sunshine State Tour by taking on Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the Stateside Cup at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday evening. To secure your tickets for the 7pm EDT kick-off, click HERE.
