Michail Antonio, Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček returned from their summer holidays to join up with the West Ham United squad in the United States.
The trio were both granted time off to relax and recharge after representing Jamaica and the Czech Republic respectively at summer tournaments - Antonio at the Copa América and Coufal and Souček at UEFA Euro 2024. The three jetted into Tampa, Florida on Sunday to join up with their West Ham squad-mates, who flew in from London earlier the same afternoon.
The three internationals took to the training pitch at the complex of local USL Championship club Tampa Bay Rowdies, where they had their first opportunity to impress new Head Coach Julen Lopetegui and his staff, and also received a warm welcome from their teammates on a hot and humid morning on the Gulf Coast.
With Sporting Director Mark Noble and Club ambassador and former defender Anton Ferdinand also watching on, the players got a sweat on as they worked in the Florida sunshine.
Our photographer was on hand to brave the heat and capture the action on camera.
Lopetegui’s Irons will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 27 August in Jacksonville, before a London derby Stateside against Crystal Palace on Saturday 3 August in Tampa.
