Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United Women's team
Barclays Women's Super League, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Saturday 18 May 2024, 3pm BST
West Ham United Women’s team conclude their 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign when they make the short trip to north London to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Rehanne Skinner's squad head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their final outing of the season, as they look to build on back-to-back draws and end of the season on a high.
The Irons were without a competitive fixture last weekend as league action paused for the FA Cup final, which saw their opponents Tottenham lose 0-4 to Manchester United in the Wembley showpiece.
Spurs also lost 0-1 at home to Chelsea in WSL in midweek, extending their winless league run to four matches, and Skinner's side will be hopeful of extending that run to five at the weekend.

The Opposition...
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a successful season under the guidance of Head Coach Robert Vilahamn.
The 41-year-old Swede arrived from Swedish side BK Häcken FF last summer and has steered Spurs to a sixth-place finish in Barclays Women’s Super League, as well a Continental Tyres League Cup quarter-final and the aforementioned Adobe FA Women's Cup final. where they lost 0-4 to Manchester United.
Rehanne Skinner faces her former employers on Saturday, returning to the club that she enjoyed a successful three years at, guiding Spurs to a fifth-place finish in the 2021/22 season, their highest finish in the top division to date.
Vilahamn has spoken of his desire to take the team to the next level and he could not have got off to a much better start. After going down narrowly to reigning WSL champions Chelsea on the opening day, Tottenham soon went on an impressive eight-match unbeaten run.
However, things have not quite worked out that way for Vilahamn’s side, with his team and some inconsistencies throughout the season which has saw them slip down the WSL table to sixth.
Spurs are currently on a five-match winless run, with their last victory coming against Leicester City in the FA Cup semi-final on 14 April.
Vilahamn boasts a wealth of experience in his homeland of Sweden. He had spent the entirety of his career in the Nordic country before joining Spurs, starting off as a player at FK Gothenburg at the age of 17. He then took his first step into management in 2008 as he became a player-coach for Ytterby IS, where the coaching responsibilities were shared. He helped guide the team to back-to-back promotions.
He then had a spell as head coach of the under-19 team at Orgryte IS before he made the move to Qviding FIF, where he once again secured promotion in both his seasons in charge. By 2020, he joined tier-one team BK Häcken as an assistant coach for their men’s team and helped them qualify for the inaugural Europa Conference League.
After spells Orgryte IS and Qviding FIF, he joined BK Häcken as an assistant coach for their men’s team and helped them qualify for the inaugural Europa Conference League before being appointed as head coach of BK Häcken's women’s team little over two years later. In his first season, he secured UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification with the team and reached the Swedish Cup final in both 2022 and 2023.
And despite signing a new long-term contract with Häcken last summer, Spurs were able to lure the Swede to north London.
Previous Meetings
The two sides have met ten times in competitive action over the past four years, with the Hammers coming out on top on two occasions.
Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and Hawa Cissoko both scored in a 2-0 for West Ham on last season's away game at Brisbane Road, which took place on 11 December 2022.
In the home WSL meeting earlier this season, Vilahamn's side narrowly came out on top at Chigwell Construction Stadium, winning a seven-goal thriller 4-3.
