West Ham United U21s will be seeking to guarantee their place in Premier League.2 Division 1 when they travel to face Tottenham Hotspur U21s on Sunday.
The Irons head into their last match of the campaign with the knowledge that avoiding defeat in this London derby will be enough to ensure their status in Division 1.
Spurs are in the more precarious position heading into this weekend’s final match of the 2022/23 season, and need to beat Mark Robson’s team by three or more goals to move out of the relegation zone.
A 2-0 victory last time out for the U21s, at home to Leicester City, has put the Irons in a stronger position, but Sunday’s match will still be a nervy prospect for all involved.
West Ham sit eleventh in the 14-team league on 28 points, while Tottenham are 13th – occupying the second of two relegation places – on 25 points. Wolverhampton Wanderers are in 12th, also on 28 points, but have concluded their campaign with a 4-3 defeat to champions Manchester City.

West Ham United supporters are advised that a strictly limited number of tickets are available for this fixture on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are free of charge and can be obtained by calling 0344 844 0102, option 2 (lines are open weekdays, 9.30am to 5pm).
Entry to the Training Centre for this game is strictly all-ticket and no admission will be granted to those not in possession of a match ticket. Supporters must ensure they are in possession of their ticket(s) prior to arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre.
Travel…
Sunday’s Premier League 2 match will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur FC Training Ground in Enfield. The postcode is EN2 9AP.
The quickest way to reach the training ground is to exit the M25 at junction 25, and take the A10 exit towards London.
Continue onto Great Cambridge Road, and then turn right onto Bullsmoor Lane. Head to Whitewebbs Lane and the destination will be there.
A very limited number of parking spaces are available on site, allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that possession of a match ticket does not guarantee a parking space on site. Supporters are strongly advised to use public transport where possible, as parking spaces are expected to be taken up very quickly.

Team News…
Lead coach Mark Robson will be eager to have as near a full contingent available as possible for Sunday's league finale.
Leading goalscorer Divin Mubama was substituted in the second half of the 2-0 win over Leicester City last weekend but the 18-year-old should be okay to feature away to Tottenham Hotspur.
George Earthy and Ollie Scarles will also be optimistic of retaining their respective places in the starting XI after impressive showings last time out.
Junior Robinson and Michael Forbes have been unavailable in recent weeks due to injury lay-offs, but it remains to be seen if either can participate in the last game of the season.
Opposition…
Tottenham Hotspur know what they need to do to survive in Premier League 2 Division 1.
Sat second bottom in the league, only a win over the Hammers on Sunday will give the north London side a chance of remaining in the top flight of development football. Even then, Spurs will need to beat Mark Robson’s side by a three goal margin to ensure the necessary swing in goal difference.
Recent form suggests Tottenham have the capability of putting the goals away they need though. A 3-2 win over Chelsea was followed by a battling 2-2 draw with Manchester United, earning the side four points and keeping their hopes of survival alive.
Much like the Hammers, a disappointing start to the 2022/23 season has largely contributed to the struggles at the wrong end of the division.
Spurs do possess a real attacking threat though. In advanced midfielder Yago Santiago, the north London side have a 20-year-old who has scored seven goals this season for the U21s. Similarly, winger Romaine Mundle has played a role in eleven goals this campaign, scoring seven and assisting four.
Tottenham Hotspur U21s are coached by Wayne Burnett, who joined the club in 2017. Prior to his move to north London, Burnett was manager of Dagenham & Redbridge and Grays Athletic, having previously played for Leyton Orient, Blackburn Rovers and Plymouth Argyle.
