West Ham United can confirm that defender Thilo Kehrer has joined AS Monaco on a permanent contract for an undisclosed fee, having spent the second half of the 2023/24 season on loan at the French Ligue 1 side.
The 27-year-old made 12 appearances for the Hammers at the start of the campaign before linking up with Les Rouge et Blanc in early January, in a deal that included an option for him to remain at the Stade Louis II long term.
In his 17 outings for eight-time French champions Monaco so far, Kehrer has helped Adi Hütter’s men secure second place in the table, and a return to the main draw of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2018/19.
In total, the Germany international played 50 games for the Irons after signing from Paris Saint-Germain in summer 2022, including one as a substitute in the UEFA Europa Conference League final victory over Fiorentina last June.
Everyone at West Ham would like to thank Thilo for his efforts during his time in Claret and Blue, and wish him all the best for the future.
