Jean-Clair Todibo

Team News | Todibo and Kudus back in training ahead of Bournemouth

West Ham United Head Coach Graham Potter will continue to monitor the fitness of Jean-Clair Todibo and Mohammed Kudus ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with AFC Bournemouth.

The duo missed out on Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Potter is hopeful that both will be available for selection when the Cherries come to east London.

The Irons will be searching for a first win in four outings against a side they have already beaten at home this term - back in August when Jarrod Bowen's late goal settled a tight Carabao Cup affair.

With Bournemouth having suffered a defeat of their own in midweek, going down 2-1 to Ipswich Town, a result which extended their winless league run to five matches, Potter is keen to have as many options at his disposal as possible.

He said: "J-C Todibo trained this morning and felt a lot better. We'll see how he reacts today - we've got another training session on Friday so there's a chance he'll be involved, which would be good for us.

"On Tuesday, he just felt worse and worse as the day went on. We thought that he might be able to help us off the bench, but he just started to feel worse so in the end he couldn't come on. In the end he was just too poorly to play.

"Mo has done very light training today, so again we'll see how he reacts to that, and whether he can go in on Friday. Again he's got a chance for the weekend.

"For him it's an overload in the hip area. It's not really an injury, more of a fatigue thing. He felt some discomfort earlier on in the week, which ruled him out. We felt it was just too soon after his international break to be involved. But it's calmed down a lot, and if he trains well on Friday. then we've got a chance."

Elsewhere, Potter revealed he will take a check on Emerson too for a knock picked up at Molineux, but he is expecting everyone other than long-term injury absentees Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville to be available to face the Cherries.

He added: "Emerson felt something, he had a block tackle close to the end of the game on Tuesday, so we're just checking that over. It's nothing too serious, and he should be available.

"Apart from that, and our long-term ones, everyone's available."
