Declan Rice applauds the West Ham United supporters

Team News: Rice returns as one of four changes for Manchester United

West Ham United make four changes for Manchester United’s trip to London Stadium on Sunday evening.

Declan Rice, Tomáš Souček and Nayef Aguerd all return to the starting XI, having missed the trip to Manchester City due to illness, with Saïd Benrahma also recalled.

Emerson, Flynn Downes and Pablo Fornals drop to the bench as West Ham seek a first win over Manchester United since September 2021, with Vladimír Coufal not included in the matchday squad having picked up a hamstring injury at Etihad Stadium.

Łukasz Fabiański moves one appearance short of 350 outings in the Premier League as he keeps his place between the sticks, with fellow goalkeepers Alphonse Areola and Joseph Anang included on the substitutes' bench.

I have never felt support like this at any other club. I’m so happy to be at a club with a fanbase like this one.
Paquetá

Having played as a centre-half against Manchester City, Thilo Kehrer will likely shift to full-back, with Angelo Ogbonna, Nayef Aguerd and Aaron Cresswell completing the back four.

Scorer in West Ham’s last home win against Manchester United, Cresswell moves past former Hammers defender Steve Potts on the Club's list of top-flight appearance makers and into 15th place. The No3 is set to make his 282nd outing in the Premier League.

Rice and Souček are back alongside Paquetá to create the midfield trio that started five games in a row in all competitions prior to Wednesday's game at Etihad Stadium. Paquetá made his 25th Premier League appearance against Manchester City last time out.

Elsewhere, Benrahma, who scored in West Ham’s 3-1 defeat in the FA Cup fifth-round defeat at Old Trafford in March, makes his first Premier League start since a 2-1 defeat by Liverpool last month.

Souček

Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio complete the forward line, with the No20 looking for his first career goal against the Red Devils and Antonio his third.

Scorer of the last winning goal by a Hammer in this fixture, Manuel Lanzini leads a strong substitutes’ bench that also seats Ben Johnson, Fornals and Emerson.

Downes, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet complete the list of players available to David Moyes against his former employers.
