David Moyes has offered an update on the availability of Michail Antonio and Nayef Aguerd ahead of West Ham United’s visit to Arsenal.
The Irons make the short trip to north London on Thursday for a final match in 2023 and are looking to conclude an impressive 12 months across domestic football and on the continent with another three points.
The Hammers will have to do so without striker Antonio, though, with Moyes confirming that the No9 is still absent following an injury sustained on international duty with Jamaica back in November.
Moyes said. “Michail is not ready yet. There’s not return date for Mick yet.”
Centre-back Aguerd, meanwhile, has been absent from West Ham’s last two matchday squads – the Carabao Cup quarter-final away to Liverpool and the Premier League win over Manchester United – and the manager suggested the Moroccan’s potential involvement will be a late decision.
Moyes added: “Nayef Aguerd has done a little bit of training after illness so I’ll need to see how he is.”
