David Moyes has named the same West Ham United starting XI for the fourth successive Premier League game as the Irons take on Newcastle United at London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Scot picks the same side which kicked-off the defeats by Liverpool and Manchester City and victory over Sheffield United.
The Irons are seeking a fourth consecutive win in all competitions following victories over Lincoln City in the EFL Cup, Sheffield United in the Premier League and SC Freiburg in UEFA Europa League Group A.
West Ham have won seven of their ten games this season and scored in all ten. A goal today would match the start of the 1968/69 season, when Ron Greenwood’s side scored in their first eleven competitive matches.
The team Moyes has picked to try to achieve that feat has Alphonse Areola in goal, with the France international seeking consecutive Premier League clean sheets following last weekend’s shutout against Sheffield United.
Vladimír Coufal is at right-back, with Kurt Zouma skippering the side at centre-back alongside midweek Europa League goalscorer Nayef Aguerd, with Emerson at left-back.
Mexico international Edson Álvarez anchors the midfield, knowing a fifth booking of the season today would see him suspended for the trip to Aston Villa on 22 October.
James Ward-Prowse makes his 350th Premier League appearance and will look to continue his fine start to life in east London, which has seen him score two goals and assist six more in just eight appearances.
Tomáš Souček starts, as does Lucas Paquetá, who rose high to head in West Ham’s opener in the 2-1 Europa League victory in Germany on Thursday.
Recalled England international Jarrod Bowen has also been in scintillating form in recent weeks, but has never scored in seven Premier League appearances against Newcastle, so will be hoping to end that run at London Stadium.
Michail Antonio is fit to start after missing the trip to Freiburg and he leads the line against a Newcastle team he has twice scored against previously.
Thilo Kehrer, Mohammed Kudus and Pablo Fornals started in Germany, but drop to the substitutes’ bench, while Konstantinos Mavropanos misses out through illness.
