Arthur Masuaku in training

Team news: Masuaku & Fabianski return to starting XI

Arthur Masuaku and Łukasz Fabiański have been named in the West Ham United starting XI for this afternoon’s Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur.

Manager David Moyes has made two changes to the West Ham team that heroically saw off Sevilla 2-1 on aggregate in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 on Thursday.

Goalkeeper Fabiański returns to the starting side, continuing his role as the team’s chosen Premier League shot-stopper. The 36-year-old has only missed one league outing this campaign; the 1-0 defeat at Manchester United.

Masuaku, meanwhile, comes back into the side for his first start for the Irons since the home match against Southampton on Boxing Day. The full-back has made seven appearances for the Irons from the substitute bench since that outing.

Masuaku will likely be joined by Academy of Football graduate Ben Johnson in the full-back positions. Aaron Cresswell, who is making his 500th club career appearance this afternoon, continues in the West Ham defence alongside Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson.

Tomáš Souček, fresh from his goalscoring efforts on Thursday, is in the side and partners Declan Rice, who once again captains the team.

Manuel Lanzini, who scored a sensational last-minute equaliser in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season, retains his place in the side. The Argentinian has scored four goals and provided three assists in ten games against Spurs during his West Ham career.

Up front, Michail Antonio leads the line for the Hammers. The striker famously scored the first-ever away goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April 2019, earning West Ham a 1-0 win, and has six goals in eleven outings against the north London side.

Pablo Fornals and Alphonse Areola have dropped to the bench and are joined by Andriy Yarmolenko, who has netted vital finishes in West Ham’s last two matches.

Nikola Vlašić, Club captain Mark Noble, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Alex Král and Sonny Perkins completes the options available off the bench for David Moyes.

Today's opponents, Tottenham Hotspur, are unchanged from the side that defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 in midweek.
