West Ham United manager David Moyes is waiting on the fitness of midfielder Tomáš Souček ahead of Saturday's Premier League trip to Manchester United.
The Czech Republic international missed the home meetings with Norwich City and Leeds United after testing positive for COVID-19, but has returned to Rush Green this week.
Moyes revealed that he still needs to determine whether the 26-year-old is ready to face the Red Devils, but he has been pleased to get extra recovery time into his teammates' legs with the rarity of no midweek assignment.
He said: "We've had COVID and we have COVID like everybody else in the Premier League,
"We have injuries as well, which all has an effect on the players you have available.
"Look, Tomáš has come back from COVID - we're not quite sure yet if he's ready. so we need to assess that and see where he is.
"Hopefully we're not too bad and we'll go there and trey to do the best we can.
"It has certainly helped us having the extra days of recovery because it was very quick between the three games we had the previous week.
"Having a few days of recovery has been good for us and hopefully it shows."
