How did your Supporters' Club begin?
Two others along with myself started the group when we were able to find a local pub that would host the matches in 2018. We started a Facebook page and in addition Canada started the new Canadian Premier League and as Hamilton Forge fans we met other West Ham United fans. We currently have 30 members and usually get 10-12 of us together on matchdays. Hamilton is nicknamed ‘The Hammer’, so we’re called Hammer City Hammers. We also meet up with the Toronto Hammers that are about one hour away on the highway.
Have you always been a West Ham supporter?
Yes, I am a lifelong West Ham supporter and was able to get my first scarf in 1986.
How do you follow the Hammers on a matchday?
We meet at our local, Ye Olde Squire in Hamilton for matches. It is early as kick-off is usually 9-10 am.
What is your matchday routine?
Wake up, check the West Ham news and post the starting lineup just before heading to the pub. We meet just before kick-off order breakfast and have a few pints.
