Six Hammers shortlisted for London Football Awards 2022

Three West Ham United men's first-team players, two Women's team players and men's first-team manager David Moyes are among the names nominated for honours at the 2022 London Football Awards!

The London Football Awards sponsored by Toscafund officially announced the nominees for the 2022 awards ceremony on Thursday, with Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen both in contention for the Premier League Player of the Year Award.

Rice and Bowen have both been in sensational form for the Hammers this campaign, helping the side reach the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League and maintain a challenge at the top end of the Premier League table. The duo are joined by Chelsea trio Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva. 

Rice is a previous winner at the London Football Awards, collecting the Men's Young Player of the Year award in the 2018/19 season. 

Men's first-team manager David Moyes has also been nominated for the Manager of the Year Award. The West Ham boss won the honour in 2021 and will be hoping to make it back-to-back awards, having been nominated alongside Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel, Fulham's Marco Silva, Patrick Vieira of Crystal Palace and Sutton United manager Matt Gray.

Lukasz Fabianski was also a winner at the 2021 London Football Awards, winning the Goalkeeper of the Year Award, and is once again nominated for the honour. Fabianski has been shortlisted along with Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, Hugo Lloris of Tottenham, Édouard Mendy of Chelsea and Sutton United's Dean Bouzanis.

The West Ham United women's team also have two names nominated at this year's awards ceremony. Hammers goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold has been nominated for the Barclays FA Women's Super League Player of the Year Award, and is joined by Chelsea's Sam Kerr and Arsenal trio Kim Little, Katie McCabe and Leah Williamson in being shortlisted.

Midfielder Mel Filis has also been shortlisted, and is up for the Women’s Young Player of the Year. She is joined by Tottenham duo Esther Morgan and Jessica Naz in being nominated for the award. 

The London Football Awards 2022 will be held at the Roundhouse on March 3 2022.
