West Ham United women’s team can confirm that Shekiera Martinez has returned to the Club.
The striker joined SC Freiburg on loan for the 2024/25 campaign after putting pen to paper at West Ham in the summer.
But the 23-year-old has accumulated the necessary points to meet the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria for international player visas and has returned to Chadwell Heath.
On loan in her home country, Martinez scored five goals and registered two assists in 12 Frauen-Bundesliga matches.
Prior to signing a three-year deal at the Club, the Germany U23 international began her career with SV Gläserzell and FV Horas before joining Frankfurt in 2016 - for whom she played over 110 times for, scoring 24 goals.
