West Ham United is delighted to announce that women’s team manager Rehanne Skinner has signed a one-year contract extension until the summer of 2026.
Since becoming the Hammers’ first female manager of the Barclays Women’s Super League era in the summer of 2023, Skinner has made a hugely positive impact.
The experienced 45-year-old has used all her experience, relentless work ethic, tactical nous and coaching ability to galvanise the women’s team, creating a strong bond between the squad, staff and supporters alike.
Under Skinner’s guidance, the Hammers have enjoyed many memorable moments over the previous two seasons, scoring unforgettable wins over Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, regularly challenging the Women’s Super League’s top sides and achieving a record-breaking home record this term.
With a top-half WSL finish within West Ham’s grasp with two games of the 2024/25 campaign to play, Skinner is delighted to commit her future to the Club and wants to continue in the positive direction that the women’s team are heading in.

“I’m delighted to be extending my contract at West Ham United,” she said. “We’ve made huge progress on and off the pitch over the last 18 months, which has been a collective effort from everyone at the Club. We have a fantastic group of players and staff, an incredibly supportive Board and a passionate, loyal fanbase that have all contributed to this growth.
“I believe we now have the foundations in place to keep developing and improving, and I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to keep moving this team forwards.”
A highly-respected figure in the women’s game, Skinner arrived at Chadwell Heath having established a strong reputation during spells coaching England, Wales and Arsenal, and managing Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Since her appointment, the progression made by her Hammers has been clear, most recently as the team navigated WSL matches against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United unbeaten. As a result, Skinner was nominated for the WSL’s Manager of the Month for March.
West Ham United Vice-Chair and Director of the women’s team Board, Baroness Karren Brady, welcomed the news.
Baroness Brady said: “This is an important step forward for West Ham United Women.
“Rehanne’s commitment to improve the women’s team has been evident for everyone to see, and we are all aligned with what needs to be done to keep progressing in a highly competitive Barclays Women’s Super League.
“The past 18 months has created a sense of momentum and unity for the women’s team and we are very excited about what the future holds for our supporters.”
Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Rehanne on her contract extension and wishes her every success in her future career at the Club.
