Ahead of West Ham United women's team's Barclays Women's Super League fixture against Liverpool, Rehanne Skinner penned her Official Programme notes! You can read them below!

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to Chigwell Construction Stadium for today’s Barclays Women’s Super League match against Liverpool.

I’d like to wish a warm welcome to Matt Beard, his staff and players for today’s fixture in east London.

After our performance against Chelsea last weekend, I could not be prouder of the players.

The team’s hard work, dedication and character shone through in our performance and the players really showed off what we have been working towards over the past eight weeks. Obviously, we set out to compete and win every game, so the result was disappointing, however, there were so many positives to take from the performance.

I felt we started very well, creating a couple of excellent chances, which caused Chelsea a lot of problems. We worked incredibly hard in and out of possession, which led to some positive counter attacking opportunities too.

We’ve had a great week of preparation ahead of this afternoon’s game. The players have been able to keep their performance at a high level throughout the week, which is testament to our conditioning having played three times in six days. I’d also like to thank the staff behind the scenes for their hard work in making sure that the players were able to get through the week and maintain those levels.

This week, we’ve been working on minor tweaks to make sure that we can continue to perform at our very best heading into the final game before the October international break. All of us would like to head into the international break on a high and today’s game against Liverpool presents us with the perfect opportunity to do so.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all of our fans for their support in our first four matches of the season. It has been great to have your support at Chigwell Construction Stadium, as well as on the road at Brighton and Chelsea. We will need you all behind us again today as we look to pick up a positive result.

COME ON YOU IRONS!
