Friday evening’s Premier League International Cup match between West Ham United and GNK Dinamo Zagreb has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.
A 1pm inspection by the match officials at Chigwell Construction Stadium concluded that the playing surface would not be fit to host the Hammers’ final group-stage match of the competition.
The young Irons sit second in Group B, having beaten Celtic and Valencia, and drawn against Lyon, but will now have to wait for a chance to secure their place in the knockouts.
A date for a rearranged tie will be confirmed in due course.
The next outing for Steve Potts’ Hammers is now scheduled for Friday 26 January, when Stoke City will visit Rush Green Stadium for a 7pm kick-off.
