West Ham United Head Coach Graham Potter was thrilled to hail a 'really good week' for his side after they recorded their first back-to-back Premier League wins of the season by seeing off Leicester City at London Stadium on Thursday night.
Two goals in the first half - the first a close-range finish by Tomáš Souček after Mads Hermansen had parried Mohammed Kudus' close-ramge effort, and the second a Jannik Vestergaard own-goal forced by Jarrod Bowen's dangerous cross-shot - were more than enough to see off a Leicester side who struggled to make an impression against the Irons.
Potter's men were able to back-up their superb victory at Arsenal at the weekend by claiming three more points against the Foxes, with final 2-0 scoreline lifting them a place to 15th in the table.
Doubly pleasing for the boss was the fact this side also kept a clean sheet for the second game in succession, laying the groundwork for the rewards which ultimately came their way following the 90 minutes.
It’s been a really good week for us. Two clean sheets, two wins, six points.
Especially after not so long between the games – there was a huge effort at Arsenal of course – and to go again in a game that we're expected to win, I thought the players had a good structure, a good discipline.
I don't think it was champagne football by any stretch, but it was professional and importantly we got the job done.
We knew that the game was going to be completely different away at Arsenal compared to home, with the greatest respect, against Leicester.
It's a different game for us, so we had to have that role [of dominating possession].
We had to play the role, and that's why I thought that whilst it was not easy to create chances because they had lots of bodies there, defending with eleven all the time, we had control and we limited them to not many transitions.
We were able to sustain our attacks and obviously get the two goals. We still had a job to do and we did it over the second half.
Tomáš Souček anticipates those chances really well.
He has made a career of it. He gives everything to the team, works really hard and it’s nice for him on his [30th] birthday to score a goal.
It was an important goal and I’m delighted for him, delighted for the team, and delighted for the players because they've been working really hard and it’s nice to get the rewards of two wins.

It’s good for everybody to feel the positivity.
As I said before, the players have responded really well, they've been working really well and really hard. For them you want them to get some points because it just shows you're on the right path.
Our support has been brilliant with us, so it's nice to get some points for them too. We need to keep moving forward, that's the aim, that's the job. I’m delighted for the players tonight though because, as I said, two back-to-back wins hasn't happened often this season up until now, so we're delighted with that.
The players now need to recover after tonight.
We’ll use tomorrow (Friday) to do that and then they’ll have some time with the families [over the weekend]. I think that's important.
Then we’re back to training next week and working hard and preparing for another tough game here against Newcastle [on Monday 10 March]. But again, with the points we've had this week, with the performances in different ways, we can go into the week with confidence.
