Paul Nevin departs West Ham United

West Ham United can confirm that Paul Nevin has left the Club by mutual consent.
 
The assistant coach, who joined the Hammers as a first-team coach in February 2020, departs West Ham in order to pursue new coaching opportunities outside the Premier League.
 
Nevin, who has previously worked in Australia, New Zealand, China, Brazil and Qatar, leaves east London after being part of the coaching team that helped guide West Ham to the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy last month.
 
Having also returned to the England national team set-up for a second time under manager Gareth Southgate in August 2021, Nevin has played his part in the success of both Club and country in recent seasons.
 
Manager David Moyes said: “Paul has played an important role for us during his time here and I would like to thank him for all his support and hard work during his time at West Ham United.
 
“He is highly ambitious as a coach and is keen to test himself in a new environment and we wish him well in doing so."
 
Nevin said: “I’ll always look back on my time and the opportunity I had to work at West Ham with great fondness.
 
“In the three and a half years, we enjoyed a period of great success in West Ham’s history, culminating in the Europa Conference League win last season, which gives the Club a fantastic opportunity and platform to go on to even greater levels in the future.
 
“I’d like to thank all the players I've coached and all the staff that I've had the honour to work alongside during this period.
 
“I wish the club every success in the future and look forward to following West Ham’s successes from afar.”
